Linville Knife and Tool Company takes pleasure in announcing our distribution rights for Dick Atkinson made and designed custom grips for Colt 1911 style handguns and their clones, such as Kimber*, Caspian Arms*, Para-Ordnance*, Ed Brown*, Springfield Armory* and others.

Tim Britton of Linville Knife and Tool and Dick Atkinson have been good friends and members of the Knifemaker’s Guild since 1972. They have an established record of being trustworthy and producing quality knives and handgun grips at competitive prices.

DESIGN
The original textured design reflects the tactical experiences of Tim Britton. He served with 3rd Force Recon in the USMC and has trained with Louis Auerbach in Idaho and Jim Davis at Blackwater in eastern NC. Larry Davidson contributed greatly with the original concept and his fine CAD/CAM skills. The team of Larry Davidson and Dick Atkinson gives us 60+ years of machine design and tool and die work.

MATERIAL
Micarta* can be finished in a “fuzzy” state or a polished state, based on your tactical or experience requirements. Micarta is very durable, impervious to cold, oil, chemicals and has been tested for applications such as armor and bearing surfaces in hi heat applications. The three basic types all have their own strengths and appeal. Canvas is our most popular type for grips due to the rough texture of this material. Linen base is finer and can be finished to a higher luster without loss of durability. Paper base is available in a wider range of colors and can be highly polished but is a less durable material. Think of micarta as being fabric plywood bonded with a phenolic resin. This is quite an impressive material…it can withstand full force blows with a hammer and remain unscathed. We can inlay your medallions or laser cut your insignia or logo on the grips.

USERS FEEDBACK
Linville grips are being used by special ops, law enforcement and special tactical forces all over the world. But our primary customer is still the individual user who is involved in carry on a daily basis or just occasional use on a range. They have seen service in The Congo, South Korea, Iraq, and are used by the Jordanian Elite security force. This fine product is also being used by Navy SEAL Teams, Homeland Security, FBI, LAPD, and SWAT Teams all over the globe.

We will warranty our grips to be without defect and unconditionally guarantee durability for 5 years from your date of purchase. ANY issues with be dealt with on an individual basis and any defective product replaced without charge during this warranty period.
